My name is Ty, Licensed Associate Counselor and founder of the Thursby Wellness Center. Whatever brings you here today, welcome.

Therapy has the power to change lives.

After experiencing the benefits of treatment in my own life (shout outs to Anna, you’re a real one), I decided to rededicate my professional life to a cause I became increasingly passionate about — making mental health services more accessible to everyone.

I adopt a warm, welcoming, and conversational approach to my practice.

My work is largely inspired by cool dudes like Carl Rogers, a lovely guy who advocated for mental health practitioners to exercise "unconditional positive regard” for clients, believing every person was inherently good and already possesses the tools they need to become the best version of themselves.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) methods. If that’s all Greek to you, no worries — all you need to know is they work!
