My name is Ty, Licensed Associate Counselor and founder of the Thursby Wellness Center. Whatever brings you here today, welcome.

Therapy has the power to change lives.

After experiencing the benefits of treatment in my own life (shout outs to Anna, you’re a real one), I decided to rededicate my professional life to a cause I became increasingly passionate about — making mental health services more accessible to everyone.

I adopt a warm, welcoming, and conversational approach to my practice.

My work is largely inspired by pioneers of the field including Carl Rogers, a lovely guy who advocated for mental health practitioners to exercise "unconditional positive regard” for clients, believing every person was inherently good.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), methods I believe can effectively treat a wide range of modern challenges across the mental health spectrum.

The relationship you form with your counselor has a significant impact on whether therapy “works” for you.

Whatever your goals are in mental health, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
